4H Camp Print Fund Raiser: The College of Agriculture and 4-H Youth Development operate four 4-H Camping Centers across the state. These facilities have been in operation since the mid 1960’s. Most of the buildings are originals. There is a need to perform much needed repairs on our buildings and modernize facilities. The camps must operate on the revenues they generate through camping fees. These fees are not enough to cover the repairs and renovations needed. Therefore 4-H is undertaking a multi-faceted fund raising campaign to raise the funds needed. One part of our campaign is the sale of camp prints. John Ward, a Kentucky artist from Mt. Sterling, was commissioned to paint a scene from each camp. From each original, there are 500 signed and numbered 16 x 20 prints available of each camp. |
The prints are $35 each. Here is the Lake Cumberland 4-H Camp print. These may be viewed on the 4-H website at http://www.ca.uky.edu/agcollege/4H/camp/improvement/index.htm. There is also a brochure on this fund raising campaign and an order form on the website. Prints may be picked up at the 4-H Youth Development Office in Scovell Hall on campus or shipped to any location. The prints are beautiful scenes of nature at camp. They will make a great addition to any home or office. If you have questions just give Cathy Toole a call. |
